Sport Scotland
Sport Scotland are the lead agency for the development of sport in Scotland, investing expertise, time and public money in developing a world class sporting system at all levels. Working with partners to develop this sporting system, investing in and joining up the people, places, partnerships and planning that make sport happen.
London 2012
From the wonder of the Opening Ceremony to the thrills of the sporting action: the Games set out what would happen where. The London 2012 Olympic Games will feature 26 sports, which break down into 39 disciplines.
Glasgow 2014
17 sports are played over 11 days of competition at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. 10 of these are core sports - they are always played and their medals competed for. 7 have been selected by the host city from a choice of sixteen. The result will make for an interesting and varied programme.
