Aquatics

Aquatics is a core sport of the Commonwealth Games, and two disciplines will feature on the Glasgow 2014 sports programme - Swimming and Diving.

Cycling is well represented throughout the Commonwealth and the Glasgow 2014 programme involves the disciplines of Mountain Bike, Road and Track, promising an exciting mix of speed, strength, endurance and tactics in this adrenaline-packed sport.

Gymnastics

Judo, which was developed from a martial art into a sport at the end of the nineteenth century, has grown in popularity throughout the Commonwealth. It is a highly physical sport with a strong ethical code and guiding philosophy.

Lawn Bowls

As one of the core sports of the Commonwealth Games, Lawn Bowls is strongly represented throughout the Commonwealth and will feature a number of former or aspiring World Champions. This sport also provides for the most diverse group of competing athletes, coming from all age groups and backgrounds.

Netball
